Armenians: World's Worst Drivers?

From the picture:
347: Average number of people injured or killed in Armenia for every 1,000 vehicles, making Armenians the world's worst drivers. In the USA, the number is 16.
Does this make us - or rather those in Armenia - the world's worst drivers or the world's worst pedestrians? There is hardly any doubt in the minds of tourists who visit there that driving in Armenia is a dangerous affair!

On the skeptical side, no information is provided as to when or how this information was compiled.

as someone living in Japan, I can totally assure you, it has to be impossible for Armos to be the worst drivers.

I live in Florida but I go to Armenia every year for the past 9 years for about 2 months during the summer. Driving there is madness, consider your average streets in US or UK or Japan now take out all signs and signals, take out common sense in road planing and design. Not to mention some of the worst roads in the world. Plus endless police corruption and you can begin to understand what it is like to drive there. It is no wonder they are the worlds worst drivers, we have the worlds worst roads.
