Sirusho Chosen for Eurovision 2008!

This just made my day!
Armenian pop singer Sirusho is going to represent Armenia during Eurovision-2008 international song contest. The contest will take place in Serbian Belgrade next year.

According to new rules of Eurovision, the song that will be performed during the contest must be decided in a public vote.
Let's hope the public is able to pick a song that doesn't automatically guarantee failure, like last year's. Unfortunately, it is not yet known whether innocent bystanders will be beat, stabbed, or shot, but keep checking back.

YAY!!!! I'm soooo glad, shes beautiful and has a wonderful voice!!! I keep saying we need to bring her to the U.S. and make her famous.... Also, How come I can only see Eurovision on Youtube...We need it in LA!!!!!

Bring her here and she'll undoubtedly follow the Britney Cycle(R).

Oh, and Americans don't care for anything to do with Europe, though you can watch it on Russian channels.

It's true, most anything European is cast aside and disregarded here, although there are some seriously lame stereotypes about us that all too many Euros go along with.

Anyway I'd be soooo against bringing her into the American market. She'll get corrupted, her music will become incredibly generic . . . horrible, unless u like that played out r&b/pop trash.

she is beautiful and her songs have that distinct armenian flavor... that makes her even more enjoyable, I hope she will not be influenced by the crap marketed at world'd superstar level and will always stay away from Kim Kardashian like behavior.

Im soo happy for Sirusho and i hope they choose Apricota's H.A Derhova to write the song for her since he did Ore Yev Nerkan and we all know that was the summer hit. If he want to win , he should write it. =)
