Azerbaijan wants to host the 2016 Summer Olympics, President Ilham Aliev said Monday.This is as likely to happen as the Gaza Games of 2012.
The nation receives revenue from abundant oil and gas resources from the Caspian Sea, but is locked in a dispute with neighboring Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh, a mountainous area controlled by Armenian forces since the end of a six-year war in 1994.

Yet another idiotic propaganda trick by Aliev. Some of his tricks are very good but then he goes and does something like this. I wonder if the populace laughs at this or feels proud of their country.
Something tells me that mockery is illegal in Azerbaijan!
Doesn't hosting a summer olympic ends up costing the country? If so let them have it and sink money into it.
